March 16th is the National Holiday, Saint Shamus Day. Saint Shamus O'Malley is the Patron Saint of Improvisers in March. It is said that on March 16th 1238 AD, he led a group of rowdy improvisers through the streets of Chicago, and formed a Second City filled with improvisers and built completely off audience suggestions. Each March, the world's improvisers pay homage to Saint Shamus by having a shot or two of whiskey in the green room before the rowdiest show of the year. It is said that on his death bed he was asked if he was going to heaven and his response was "I'm going non-geographic location". Celebrate Saint Shamus Day with the cast of Music City Improv. In true Saint Shamus fashion our show will be built completely off audience suggestions.
