With the mayoral election closing in, a few Music City Improv cast members have decided to throw their names on the ballot for mayor. Who are they and what are their platforms? Well, we are glad you asked.
Jill "eSKINd" Mothershed , long known for her glowing pearl skin. Jill is running on the platform of free SPF protection for all Nashvillians. A teacher by trade, Jill feels as if everyone is at their best on summer break, and is advocating for a year round summer break school schedule, with proper skin protection.
David "The Fox" Vaughan is a huge proponent of beautiful people. He feels people are happiest when looking at other beautiful people. He is currently working with a design firm to "beautify" the new state logo.
Matthew "The Bone" Redd is a relative unknown in this year's election. The Bone, a nickname held over from college Matthew has a rather loose campaign agenda calling for people to just "hey, vote for the bone, alright?"
Heather "Barry Busy" Lefkowitz is actually busy campaigning for Megan Barry. She has no plans herself to be mayor, but hopes her organizational skills, winning smile, and baked goods will win the actual candidate Barry more votes.
Shane "Always a Freeman" Luthe is running on the platform of more free samples in grocery stores. He thinks "Big Business and Big Government" have long withheld the good samples for their own CEOs and the political elite and he is advocating to bring those samples back to the people.
Sandella "Sugar Kane" Gansheimer has since left the race. In a statement released by her publicist Sandella "thanks the good people of Nashville and promises to get help" for what she calls "Satan's succulent nectar". TMZ reports she was found face down in a pile of sour patch kids and is currently a resident of Passages Malibu.
